Narrative

Beth Brown received her B.A. in American Indian Studies from the
University of Minnesota in 2005. During her undergraduate studies,
she worked as a research and teaching assistant in the American
Indian Studies Department. As Program Associate for Dakota Language,
her current focus is in the development of the department’s new
certificate program in Dakota language teaching. She is also a Dakota
immersion teacher at Anishinabe Academy for the Wicoie Nandagikendan
Urban Language Immersion Project.
